Enforcing Social Sign-On
Updated over a month ago

As an added layer of security - workspace admins are able to enforce Social Sign-On for the workspace. This means that users will required to link their Ignite accounts to their Microsoft accounts. Once this is complete, users are able to enter their email into ignite, and log in via Microsoft which adds another layer of security.

How to Enforce Social Sign-On

To enforce social sign-on (SSO) admins can check the box on the General page in Settings. Once they click on Save, users will no longer be able to sign in with username and password.

Linking accounts to Microsoft

Once SSO is enforced, users who previously logged in with email and password will be required to link their accounts to Microsoft.

This guide explains the steps you need to perform in order to link your account to

Microsoft.

Step 1: Enter your E-mail and click "Continue with E-mail"

💡 Note: If you usually logged in with Microsoft Social Sign-In, you will be sent to the Microsoft sign in page. After logging in with Microsoft, you will be sent to step 2 if you haven't linked your account.

Alternatively, if you are unable to do the step above, you can proceed to the step 2 directly by following this link. Link Required

Step 2: Enter your email to link your account.

If your Ignite account is not linked to a Microsoft account you will be prompted with a form to retrieve a recovery link that automatically signs you in and redirects you to the user page.

After submitting your email you should see a message confirming that the email has been sent. Make sure to double check that you entered the correct email.

Step 3: Click the recover link in the email

You should now receive an email where you get a one-time sign in link. Click the green button in order to continue.

Step 4: Linking your Microsoft Account

You should now be signed in and ready to link your account. You should receive a pop-up asking you to link your account to Microsoft. Click on Continue to proceed to Microsoft.

Note: After clicking continue, you will be directed to Microsofts web-page where you will be asked to log in. Logging in on the Microsoft page will connect the accounts.

Your account should now be linked and you can proceed to the app by clicking the blue link in the bottom of the green box or by clicking the “Go to app” button in the top right corner.

You are now all set with SSO in Ignite!
