Dashboards and Collections

To find these features, navigate to "Dashboards" within "Advanced analytics" in the sidebar.

How to Create a New Dashboard

Dashboards are where your different widgets and analysis will be stored.

In order to create a new dashboard, you will first have to click the + symbol to the right of "Home dashboard". Clicking that will allow you to either create a new dashboard, or a collection.

After clicking that, you will have the option to create a new dashboard using our dashboard library, or an empty one.

If you choose to create one using the library, you can choose between different dashboards already filled with widgets that you can use for your analytics. Should you rather want to start out blank, you can choose the empty dashboard.

πŸ’‘Tip: If you have access to several of our modules, create dashboards related to each of them. This way, you can put any related widgets into these instead of having all of your widgets in one dashboard.

How to Use Collections

Collections are used to organize your dashboards.

Note that you will get a collection titled "Other" when you create a dashboard for the first time. This collection is used to group for all dashboards who have not been assigned a collection.

In order to create a new collection, you will first have to click the + symbol to the right of "Home dashboard". Clicking that will allow you to either create a new collection, or a dashboard.

In this menu you'll have to find a fitting name for your collection, and optionally add any dashboards you deem fit for the collection.

How to set your Home Dashboard

Your Home Dashboard is the dashboard you will view each time you log into Ignite. You can also access it by clicking on Home Dashboard in the Dashboard Menu.

Until you set your own home dashboard, your home dashboard will be the first dashboard created on your Ignite client.

You can change your home dashboard by clicking on the three dots in the dashboard menu, and then clicking "Set as home dashboard"

πŸ’‘Tip: If you are unsure about which dashboard to set as your home dashboard, you can always select this later, once you find the right dashboard for you!

Filters

How to Filter a Dashboard

By filtering a dashboard, you can limit the amount of data shown in the widgets. Through this, you can narrow down the analysis to e.g. Only include a certain suppliers or departments data.

To filter your dashboard, press the + Filter button at the top of your dashboard. To add more filters, simply repeat the same process. If you want to remove your filters, press the X on the right side of the filter.

πŸ’‘Tip: Got many filters on, and want to remove them all in one click? Press the reset button below "+ New Analysis".

How to Pin a Filter to a Dashboard

Do you want a filter to stay anchored to your dashboard, so it doesn't get removed between sessions? You can do that by pinning them. To do this, you simply need to press the πŸ“Œ icon to the left of your filters.

After pressing this the white area within the icon will be filled, which indicates that the pin feature is activated.

πŸ’‘Tip: If you are going to use a dashboard in a presentation, pin the filters you'll need before the meeting.

How to Favorite a Filter

For the filters you use often, favoriting them can save you a lot of time. Doing so is really easy too. All you need to do is open up the filter menu, and click the star icon to the right of the filter. To remove it from favorites, click the star icon again.

Your favorite filters will show up in the top of the filter menu.

Favorite filters are only saved for your personal view, so the filters you favorite will not be favorited for anyone else.

Drilling Down into Data/Interactive Widgets

Split on Supplier and Other Columns

You can split data in your graphs on any of your other data fields. By doing this you can get one level deeper into your data, and gain increased insight quickly.

To do this, left-click any data field in your widgets and choose "Split data on X" or "Split selected data on ... ".

As seen in the example above, when I split the category "Raw materials" on Supplier name, the widget shows the suppliers whose part of the aforementioned category.

Quick-Applying Filters

To instantly apply filters to your dashboard, you can CTRL+Click data within a widget. This will apply any filters connected to that specific data field, e.g. Transaction date and Category.

In order to reset your filters, press the reset arrow to the right of the two πŸ’Ύ icons in a widget.

Showing Data and Data Export

To show the data connected to a data field, you can left-click the field and choose "Show data".

Doing so will bring up this screen. Using the buttons in the top right, you choose to filter or download this data. Use the left button for filtering, and the right one for downloading.

If you're searching through the data, remember that you can use "Search in data" and "Show/hide columns" to narrow down the amount of results.

Ignite Analytics Dashboards

Ignite Matrix - Identify Opportunities

In the "Ignite Analytics" collection you can find 3 pre-defined dashboards.

The first of these, titled "Savings opportunities" includes our Ignite Matrix. This graph shows all your suppliers along with their most important financial data. In addition to this, it also shows you the spend you have with them and the share of wallet.

You can use this data as an indication of any suppliers that you are in a prime position to re-negotiate with.

Risk and Potential Analysis

In the "Ignite Analytics" collection you can find 3 pre-defined dashboards.

In the "Potential" and "Risk" dashboards you will find these two tables.

Potential analysis

The potential rating gives you an indication of your bargaining power towards your suppliers, and helps you identify suppliers with most savings potential.

The rating is automatically calculated for your suppliers and is an average score based on the following four criteria:

  • Spend growth by CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate)

  • Share of wallet (i.e. your share of the supplier's revenues)

  • EBIT margin (i.e. supplier profitability)

  • Return on capital employed (ROCE) (i.e. supplier profitability ratio)

The 4 parameters are weighted equally (25 %) when all parameters are available, and we use the latest available supplier financials from our partner Enin for the applicable criteria.

The rating ranges from 0 to 100, where a higher score indicates a stronger renegotiation possibility and savings potential.

Risk analysis

The risk rating gives an indication of bankruptcy risk for your suppliers, and helps you identify risky suppliers and mitigate risk.

The rating is automatically calculated for your suppliers and is an average score based on the following three criterias;

  • Liquidity (by using the supplier's current ratio)

  • Solidity (by using the supplier's equity ratio)

  • Return on capital employed (ROCE) (i.e. supplier profitability)

The 3 parameters are weighted equally (33 %) when all parameters are available, and we use the latest available supplier financials from Enin for the applicable criterias.

The rating ranges from 0 to 100, where a higher score indicates an increased risk of bankruptcy.
